Ah, time marches on. We were there, girlfriend, then wife. Water Rock Knob was not paved, no rest area, no ranger station. There was a meadow off to the left and behind the peak. There was also a ledge to the right of the ridge, which my girl wanted to try, but I told her that the ledge was too narrow, and I could not defend her from a bear or cat. Things were seriously different in the middle of the last century. Good grief, I miss her. What a world that was. Truly wild and free. We were courting one night up high, looking at millions of stars. There was only one other car, a ranger. He blinked his lights at us and moved on. The night went back to pure dark. We loved our courting time.

When, what time of year? And, where and what time of day did u see grizzly mom/sow with babies or younger cubs?

Yes, a tough hike yet a lot of bang for the buck, as far as views go. August brings the best hiking conditions, generally you don't have to do the snow then. Hiked it several times. The last go was memorable. A ranger led the hike, and toursits were making good time with the ranger. A bunch of us employees were left in their dust!!! Although then we had it to ourselves at the top and then coming back down.

My favorite is Toccoa Falls. Really gorgeous, easy walk and an easy drive from Atlanta.

My wife and I went to Anna Ruby Falls in Helen Georgia back in late Nov 2003 and it was a truly memorable experience. I know it was a long time ago but it still looks the same from this video. It's a very tranquil and soothing place to go to unwind especially in late fall when all the leaves have fallen. The air is a bit nippy and crisp at this time but very refreshing. It's good all year round. I think it's where Appalachian Mountain begins here. Unfortunately, we are no longer together but I wish her all the happiness in this world. God bless you everyone and peace. Let's all love one another and stop hating each other. We only have very limited time in this world. Peace!!

Probably my favorite state park in Georgia. The nice pond/lake about halfway down is a very nice place to visit especially if hiking in the steeper trails isn't something you can do.

When my wife, born a ridge or so over in NC, was a girl on a picnic in the Smokys, she came face to face with a bear. It was customary then (late 40s) to feed the bears from a car window. My wife to be lost her lunch to a bear who just came up and took the family lunch.

I was here as a kid with my grandparents in 1992 they brought me to Georgia to meat family I'd never met. Being from New Jersey I'd never experienced anything as beautiful as the great state of Georgia the mountain views and the view of the stars from a dark high mountain were breath taking. I plan on taking my family to Georgia within the next 2 years.

We have camped at Grayton Beach twice. We love that it’s not crowded.

Thank you! I'm heading back in two weeks with my sister and I hope we can see some of these stops that we missed on first trip, especially the hiking recommendations. It might be muddy or the trails still closed due to the weather. Fall was beautiful to visit.

I think its Falling Rock Falls in Shelby County. Actuality all of them are awesome. There is no best.

We will be visiting Grayton Beach this summer because of this video, thank you. But our favorite beach to camp on in FL would have to be Ft DeSoto beach south of Tierra Verde (St Pete), 2nd fav would be Turtle Beach on Siesta Key but getting a spot at the county campground is difficult to be sure.

Summer to Remember Idea…..in Florida travel to the east coast and watch the sunrise and then travel to the west coast and watch the sunset all in the same day. We did it for our 30th anniversary 😊

Beverly Beach has a nice campground. Great place to ride a bike and get a bite.

Blue mountain creamery is NOT just outside the park. It's a 15 minute drive down the road from the park entrance.
